甘露

阿密哩多 (or 啞密哩多) (or 啞密哩達) amṛta, sweet dew, ambrosia, the nectar of immortality; tr. by 天酒deva-wine, the nectar of the gods. Four kinds of ambrosia are mentioned-- green, yellow, red, and white, all coming from 'edible trees' and known as 蘇陀 sudhā, or 蘇摩 soma.

甘露經陀羅尼

【術語】如來之教法，譬之甘露。法華經藥草喻品曰：「我為世尊，無能及者。安穩眾生，故現於世，為大眾說甘露淨法。其法一味，解說涅槃。」佛地論三曰：「如來聖教，於諸外道一切世間邪劣教中，最為真實殊勝清淨。猶如醍醐，亦如甘露，令得涅槃永不死故。」註維摩經七：「什曰：佛法中以涅槃甘露，令生死永斷，是真不死藥也。」無量壽經下曰：「猶如大雨，雨甘露法潤眾生故。」

甘露軍荼利明王

【明王】軍荼利明王為五大尊之一。軍荼利明王有三種：一金剛軍荼利，二蓮華軍荼利，三甘露軍荼利。胎藏曼陀羅大鈔三曰：「師曰：胎藏界圖，三處有之。金剛手院軍陀利名金剛軍荼利，觀自在院軍荼利名蓮華軍荼利，蘇悉地院軍荼利名甘露軍陀利也。既其本誓各別也，故隨所用舉之。」谷響集七曰：「一家相承有三部軍荼利明王，甘露軍荼利為佛部，蓮華軍荼利為蓮華部，金剛軍荼利為金剛部。」梵語曰阿密利多軍荼利Amṛtakuṇḍalin，阿密利多，譯言甘露。軍荼利，譯曰瓶。此明王以甘露之寶瓶為三昧耶形，故名。軍荼利儀軌曰：「甘露軍荼利，能摧諸魔障。以慈悲方便，現大忿怒形。成大威日輪，照曜無邊界修行者暗瞑，速得悉地故。流沃甘露水，洗滌藏識中。」

甘露滅

【術語】甘露為涅槃之喻，得涅槃而滅生死，謂之甘露滅。維摩經佛國品曰：「始在佛樹力降魔，得甘露滅覺道成。」同註：「肇曰：大覺之道，寂滅無相。至味和神，喻若甘露。」天台之維摩經會疏二曰：「見四諦理，名得甘露。正習俱盡，故名滅也。」止觀輔行一之二曰：「見無諦理，離生死法，名甘露滅。」寶積經六十八曰：「佛說甘露滅三毒，如阿伽陀消眾毒。」大集經三十四曰：「大悲牟尼王，悲心為說法。聞已除痴愛，獲甘露涅槃。」

甘露日

【雜名】以七曜與二十八宿相應之日名甘露日，為大善日。宿曜經下曰：「太陽直日，月與軫合；太陰直日，月與畢合；（中略）土曜直日，月與星合；已上名甘露日，是大吉祥。宜冊立受灌頂法，造作寺宇，及受戒習學經法，出家修道，一切並吉。」

四種甘露

【名數】青黃赤白之四種。瑜伽論四曰：「復有食樹，從其樹裏出四食味，名曰蘇陀，所謂青黃赤白。」同略纂二曰：「有四種蘇陀味者，謂青黃赤白四色妙味。」法華玄贊六曰：「若天得勝，便入非天（即阿修羅）宮中，為奪其女，起此違論。若非天得勝，即入天宮，為求四種蘇陀味，故相戰鬥。」蘇陀Suta，又為Sudhā，指蘇摩Soma。修羅軍與神軍爭神酒甘露，即蘇摩，古來之說也。參照阿修羅條。

【名數】四種之蘇陀Śuta味也。法華玄贊六曰：「若天得勝，便入非天（阿修羅）宮中，為奪其女，起此違論。若非天得勝，即入天宮。為求四種蘇陀味，故相戰諍。」此蘇陀味，即甘露也。註維摩經云：「生曰：天食為甘露味也，食之長壽，遂號為不死食。」甘露通常名Amṛta，譯曰不死。是天酒Soma也。名義集曰：「修陀，或云須陀，此天食也。」

甘露王

【佛名】阿彌陀之別號。阿彌陀之咒，謂之甘露咒，故阿彌陀謂之甘露王如來。彌陀化身說法，澍甘露之雨，以是稱其德也。但此時之梵語曰阿彌利帝。胎藏曼陀羅大鈔一曰：「阿娑縛抄云：阿彌陀、阿彌利帝，梵語也。此翻無量壽，無量光，又正云甘露。故大咒云十甘露明，依之甘露王如來云：服甘露不老不死故，名無量壽矣。」菩提心集經上曰：「甘露王者，應身也，甘露者，說法之德也。以法名，甘露之時梵語阿密[口*栗]多也。」Amṛta。
